Matt and I traced architectural drawings of contemporary bathhouses, such as Peter Zumthor’s Therme Vals and Jean Nouvel’s Le Bans de Docks, then used these drawings to create new spatial experiences that stem from preexisting proportions and relationships inherent in the precedents. After many iterations we settled on one that could best fit our programmatic needs, then edited amply by carving out space.
